Thomas A. Utzinger is a lawyer, consultant, and writer with a background in environmental law, corporate governance, and sustainability. He has worked in Washington, D.C. and the New York area and currently lives in New Jersey.
For more than twenty years, Thomas has largely focused on energy industry environmental, regulatory, and litigation matters while serving in a broad range of consulting, corporate, law firm, and government positions. During this time he has also authored and co-authored articles and other in-depth works for the American Bar Association, Thomson Reuters, LexisNexis, and ELR News and Analysis.
Thomas earned an LL.M. in Environmental Law from The George Washington University Law School, a J.D. from Boston University School of Law, and a B.A. in History from Cornell University.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys golf and travel. He is also a pilot with flight time in Cessna, Cirrus, Piper, and Diamond aircraft.
